As a 2020 Halloween Treat, The Poetry Hour released the Mayfair & St James's Literary Festival reading of Christina Rossetti's famous poem
Flashback to 2019's Mayfair & St James’s Literary Festival, when, ‘On All Hallows’ Eve…in the silence of the night”, The Poetry Hour presented the brilliant Elizabeth McGovern, Poppy Miller and Harriet Walter reading the poetry of Elizabeth Bishop and Christina Rossetti at The London Library, with the wonderful Nichola McAuliffe reading Josephine Hart’s introduction.
As a special Halloween treat in 2020, The Poetry Hour released their recording of Rossetti’s ‘Goblin Market’ from the event, which you can listen to here.
While the festival could not take place last year, Mayfair Times and The Poetry Hour are looking forward to welcoming you back in 2021 – a year that marks the 10th anniversary of the passing of Josephine Hart, founder of The Poetry Hour.
