London-based bike subscription startup Buzzbike is giving NHS workers in the city free use of its bikes for two months, to help them get to and from work during the Covid-19 crisis. The bicycles are being delivered with the help of Elizabeth Marsh Floral Design.
The L’OCCITANE Group, a pioneer in beauty and well-being products using natural ingredients, has decided to reassign some of its facilities to manufacture 70,000 litres of hand sanitiser. These products will be donated to the health authorities and healthcare workers in France.
INEOS, one of the world’s largest manufacturing companies, has today announced plans to produce 1 million hand sanitisers per month to help with the European shortage. These will be produced according to World Health Organisation specifications and be specifically designed to kill bacteria and viruses.
“We believe strongly that having access to green space has never been more important than it is today for people’s physical and mental wellbeing, particularly for those without a garden. It is up to all of us collectively to adhere to the latest guidance, otherwise we will have to consider closing the parks. We will keep the situation under constant review.”
