Belfast was once home to Titanic – still is. Belfast has long been recognised for its creativity, craftsmanship and warm hospitality, making it one of the UK and Ireland’s most exciting city break destinations. At the heart of the city’s cultural and tourism offering is Titanic Belfast, an award-winning visitor attraction that continues to welcome guests from around the world to discover one of history’s most enduring stories.

Central to the visit is the Titanic Experience; a 1.5-hour, self-guided tour that takes visitors on a thematic journey through the creation story of the legendary ocean liner. Located adjacent to the historic Titanic Slipways, this experience is the world’s most authentic retelling of the iconic story where guests will get to discover the stories from Belfast’s industrial past and the shipyards, through the ship’s launch and interior fit-out, to the maiden voyage and the tragic ending.

Following a recent £4.7 million refresh to the Titanic Experience, visitors can see more, hear more and feel more as new light is shed on Titanic’s story and the hopes and dreams of those connected to her. See a 7.6m long scale model of RMS Titanic, which rotates and illuminates in sync with state-of-the-art projections for a truly unforgettable experience. The experience also features a stunning artefact collection including Wallace Hartley’s violin, an original life jacket and deckchair.

Guests can then step aboard the world’s last remaining White Star Line vessel, SS Nomadic and follow in the footsteps of Titanic passengers, crew and celebrities. Walk the decks, explore the ship and take a journey through over 100 years of authentic maritime and social history. Restored to her former glory, a visit to SS Nomadic will transport you back in time, giving you a unique insight into the fascinating life of RMS Titanic’s original tender ship, her days in service in two World Wars and her later life as an entertainment venue in Paris.

Summer Exhibition – Northern Threads

This summer they have introduced ‘Titanic Belfast Curates…Northern Threads’, a celebration of style, creativity and contemporary design in NI. Launched on May 1, this exhibition brings together some of the most exciting Northern Irish designers showcasing how fashion and textile design can be bold, expressive and deeply connected to place.

Northern Threads is a free, ticketed exhibition running from May to September. At its heart are four designers: Gráinne Maher, Hope Macaulay, Kindred of Ireland by Amy Anderson and Éadach by Sara O’Neill.

Each brings a distinctive approach, spanning sculptural knitwear, contemporary linen, narrative textiles and handcrafted accessories. Together, their work reflects a creative scene that is confident, evolving and increasingly visible on a global stage, while remaining grounded in Northern Ireland’s landscape, culture and craft traditions.

The exhibition space will be Una Rodden, a prominent Belfast based designer, known for her bespoke, couture clothing, along with her Tribe collective who will be designers-in-residence. An innovative Threadlab research piece will be showcased in the exhibition, which explores the traditional and digital fashion development, from Ulster University lecturers Dean Liggett and Grainne Taylor.
