These woven, backless men’s loafers from Malone Souliers are intricately crafted and in a beautiful neutral colour that takes you from the beach to a premiere in minutes. A loafer may be a timeless classic that elevates any look but take note: the backless style requires a pedicure before wearing.

A smart, versatile tailored mid-length short will never go out of fashion. Try Dunhill’s cotton poplin Bermuda shorts in stone, £265 – they pair equally well with a smart shirt as with a T-shirt and flip flops.

Sometimes, fashion is to make a statement with – and what better way to do so than in Dior’s new off white silk muslin tank top? Did we mention it has a belt, an elongated fit, and it’s sheer? Inspired by a sailor top from the Dior menswear archives, we say copy the runway look and layer it up for a night on the town.

A good bikini is a staple, and those in the know head straight to Eres. Its striped set has a flattering high waisted bottom with eyelet detailing and an underwired retro-style top. The stripes have been inspired by beaches, seaside hotels and deckchairs – all the good things. Corazón Underwired Bra, £415, and Encanta High Briefs, £365, 3 Burlington Gardens / 31 Bd des Moulins, 98000 Monaco

This year is – wait for it – the 20th anniversary of Mulberry’s iconic Bayswater bag, and it has stood the test of time. To celebrate, three new styles have been introduced: the smaller East/ West Bayswater, the North/South tote (the perfect shoulder bag) and the zipped Bayswater tote, which is as roomy as they come with plenty of zips. There’s more newness in colourways, too – we like the pigment blue. For a summer jaunt though you can’t beat the mini Bayswater, reimagined in raffia for a limited time only. £1,495, 100 Regent Street

Linda Farrow’s ‘Lady Driver’ campaign was shot in St Tropez and focuses on the French Riviera. It’s all about luxe details: think chunky chains, gold finishes and oversized lenses. We’ll pair ours with a Grace Kelly-inspired headscarf for old school glamour. 91 Mount Street
