Fortnum & Mason’s Food Behind the Pages: Ruth Rogers & Sian Wyn Owen

Fortnum & Mason is launching an exciting new supper club series, The Food Behind the Pages, which spotlights the most revered and interesting Chef authors in the British food industry and beyond.

They welcome the formidable Ruth Rogers and Sian Wyn Owen of The River Cafe as the first guest Chefs as they launch their new cookbook, The River Cafe Look Book: Recipes for Kids of All Ages, the latest cookbook from London’s world-famous The River Cafe written with beginner cooks in mind.

This first of its kind supper club will take place on Sunday 23 October, in Fortnum's newest restaurant, FIELD, which champions seasonal produce from small-scale growers. The River Cafe team will bring to life the authentic Italian recipes found within the pages of the new book using produce from FIELD’s suppliers, creating a unique lunch experience which has family mealtimes at its heart.

The supper club will also be an opportunity to hear from Ruth and Sian, as they talk through the inspiration for the book, delving into the vivid dishes, revealing the stories behind them as well as cooking methods and expert tips.

With the hope to inspire the next generation of food explorers and lovers of cooking, children are not only welcome, but their attendance is heartily encouraged to come and enjoy a menu that caters for all ages and includes vegetarian options too.
