This year’s Monaco Yacht Show will include an exciting new adventure exhibition, promising everything a budding explorer will need

Words: Selma Day

The Monaco Yacht Show (MYS) will be back in full swing next month from September 28 to October 1 in the Port Hercule of Monaco. Organised under the High Patronage of Prince Albert II of Monaco, the show has become a major highlight of the yachting calendar, where visitors can see an outstanding concentration of superyachts and meet industry experts in the glamorous atmosphere of Monte Carlo.

More than 100 superyachts and over 50 luxury tenders will be displayed by the some of the most renowned builders and brokers in the market, while 450 hand-picked companies, including designers and architects, yacht suppliers, service providers and manufacturers of tenders and nautical gadgets, will exhibit on the quayside.

In recent years, the show has extended to the ultra-high-end markets linked to the art of superyacht living by showcasing cutting-edge technological solutions in yachting, luxury products, cars and motorcycles, along with helicopters and private jet manufacturers.

This year, attendees will be able to visit the brand-new exhibition area – Adventure Area. This themed exhibition, dedicated to adventure, exploration and all manner of leisure activities on board a yacht is aimed at redefining the yachting experience for a new generation of superyacht customers.

Visitors to the area will be able to discover a wide range of equipment, activities and services, including sports and day-trip tenders, luxury and off-road vehicles, water toys and high-tech gadgets, as well as tailor-made programmes to some of the world’s the most exotic and secluded destinations.

The Adventure Area will span across two sites at Port Hercule; Quai Antoine, which was previously home to the Car Deck and Tenders & Toys exhibitions, and at Quai Jarlan which is also home to around 20 moored tenders.

The introduction of the new exhibition for all adventure and leisure activities reflects the MYS’ continued ambition to bring visitors the finest yachting experience – to cater for today’s charter clients’ needs who may want to drive all-terrain vehicles to the North Pole, go on underwater excursions, take tender rides off the coast of secluded islands, enjoy tailor-made tours of historical and cultural sites in coastal destinations, discover animal species – while respecting their ecosystems – and even take part in scientific field trips.

By announcing the Adventure Area, along with the Sustainability Hub and the Yacht Design & Innovation Hub (new format) for 2022, the MYS is on course towards achieving that goal.
