Haute Secret Shoppers is an online personal shopping site which tracks down exclusive luxury items for its members.
The good news is, you can keep it up your sleeve if you want to!
“It's like a secret club. You can choose to tell people, but you don't have to.
“We have a lot of clients who like to keep us a secret,” says Bushra Taimur.
The shoppers access the latest fashion from clothes to handbags, shoes and accessories, often before it's even launched in shops.
Then, they ship your personal edit to you wherever you are in the world.
But they kept getting shopping requests from family abroad.
Fast forward six years, the pair have a team of 20 worldwide. They have also secured some of the biggest online players: Net-a-Porter, Farfetch and Matches Fashion.
Haute Secret Shoppers allows clients to pre-order and access exclusive sales and discounts.
A digital service
“Personal shopping has always been there,” says Bushra.
“You can walk into a store and get a personal shopper. But this was to make it digital, to have it on your Facebook, WhatsApp and Instagram.”
“You can talk to your personal shopper straight away, or you can go through a curated edit that we've picked out.”
Pakistan and India focus
The pair explain that their current client base is South Asian based.
“Pakistan and India are follower markets – so the fashionistas, or divas, set the trends and move a season ahead of everybody else. Once they've worn those items, it's a trickle-down effect.
“‘She's wearing that shoe. We all want that shoe. Give it to us in any colour.'”
She adds: “We've actually signed people like Abu Jani-Sandeep Khosla, who is one of India's most sought-after designers.
“We ship his clothes to Pakistan and the rest of the world.
“But the trend is changing with Instagram bringing about a global phenomenon of fashion.
“People are watching what people are wearing and ordering it.”
