Wimbledon kicks off on Monday 29 June, which means tennis fever is currently sweeping the capital. Case in point: the dizzying array of Wimbledon-themed events and screenings taking place across Mayfair and beyond â as well as the tournament itself. Here, weâve rounded up all the best events to know about ahead of Wimbledon 2026.
Wimbledonâs âA Taste of the Championshipsâ

Itâs not just about strawberries and cream at Wimbledon â thereâs a wide array of food on offer at the world-famous tennis tournament, from the classically-inspired Centenary Brasserie to the seasonal menus at The Wingfield and The Cavendish.
Sartoria x Gygnet Gin, Mayfair

The Cygnet Trophy Lounge has opened at Sartoria, marking the gin brandâs three-year official partnership with the Lawn Tennis Association (LTA). Kick back and enjoy live tennis surrounded by memorabilia from the LTA and enjoy the Cygnet Smash Fizz, a new cocktail pairing Cygnet 22 with strawberries, elderflower liquor, lemon juice, basil and soda.Â
W1mbledon in Hanover Square, Mayfair

This free pop-up will be screening the full Wimbledon tennis tournament in Mayfairâs iconic Hanover Square, marking the first time the championship has ever been screened in W1. Pull up a deckchair or play a round of swing ball or table tennis, all with a side of classic Pimmâs cocktails.
Pavyllon, Mayfair

The Michelin-starred restaurant is launching The Final Set, a limited-edition menu bringing the atmosphere of the Championships from Centre Court to Park Lane. Highlights include Pavyllonâs signature green lasagna and a sugar-coated strawberry tart with vanilla cream.
âTennis on the Terraceâ at 1 Hotel Mayfair

âTennis on the Terraceâ returns to 1 Hotel Mayfair so you can watch the championships from your own private suite. Available to book in any of the hotelâs Signature Suites (including the Garden Terrace Penthouse), it comes with a live match screening set-up, summer barbecue menu, private Pimmâs bar and, of course, strawberries and cream.
Lanson x John Lewisâ 1864 Rooftop Bar & Kitchen, Mayfair

Head to the John Lewis rooftop â known for being one of the loveliest rooftop bars in Mayfair â for a Wimbledon-inspired celebration with Lanson this summer, complete with Strawberry Bellinis created specially for the occasion.
Ham Yard Hotel, Soho

The hotelâs popular âCentre-Court Yardâ returns, with a large LED screen in the restaurantâs leafy courtyard for watching matches, complete with wireless headphones. While youâre there, you can order a round of seasonal cocktails, created with London Essence, traditional strawberries and cream, or a playful picnic afternoon tea.
Summer in the Square at Portman Square Garden, Marylebone
7-12 July
For six days, this pretty private square in Marylebone is open to the public for free Wimbledon screenings, as well as food pop-ups, wellness sessions, family activities, theatre workshops, poetry, live music and cultural events. Highlights include cocktail masterclasses by The Churchill Bar, restorative breath-work with Home House and a Latin American-inspired night of food, culture and music.
Mandarin Oriental Mayfair

SW19 and strawberries are synonymous and in tribute, Mandarin Oriental Mayfair has created âThe Wimbledon Serveâ, a cocktail made with Havana rum, St Germain Liqueur, strawberry cordial and Milk Oolong. Itâs part of their âSummer of Sportâ series centred around Wimbledon and the Formula 1 Pirelli British Grand Prix.
âStrawberries and Screenâ in Duke of York Square, Chelsea
10-12 July
Looking for a buzzy spot to watch the Wimbledon finals? Make a beeline for Duke of York Square, where youâll find their popular âStrawberries and Screenâ pop-up. Opening daily from 13:30pm, the Womenâs Singles Final will be shown on Saturday 11th July, with the Menâs Singles Final taking place on Sunday 12th July. Thereâll also be mini tennis sessions for the kids.
Summer Afternoon Tea at the Peninsula, Belgravia

This seasonal afternoon tea at the Peninsula is a celebration of the great British strawberry, with sweet treats centring around the much-loved berry â think strawberry choux with strawberry compote, strawberry jasmine tart with white chocolate crunch and a strawberry and almond mousse with millionaire shortbread. Whatâs more, during Wimbledon the tea will be served with a ‘smashable' tennis ball cake.
Limited-edition Wimbledon menu at Azzurra, Chelsea

If youâre looking for an alcohol-free way to toast the tournament, head to Azzurra. The Sloane Street seafood restaurant is celebrating Wimbledon with a limited-edition menu created in partnership with Wild Idol, the naturally alcohol-free sparkling wine alternative, and non-alcoholic aperitif brand Everleaf. The line-up features spritzes, alcohol-free serves, and Limone â a Wimbledon-inspired dessert of Amalfi lemon, ricotta and white chocolate.
Wimbledon in the Yards, Belgravia

Eccleston Yards is home to some of the finest bars and restaurants in Belgravia â and, throughout Wimbledon, itâs also one of the best places to watch the tennis tournament al fresco. Tune into all the sporting action from a deck chair or picnic bench before grabbing a table at one the neighbouring hotspots for dinner and cocktails.

Those who prefer to watch their tennis indoors should make a beeline for the chic Leopard Bar at The Rubens at the Palace. Their screens will be showing every rally throughout Wimbledon, as well as every thrilling moment of the World Cup.
