LA hotspot Spago will arrive for a four-day pop-up

Famed Los Angeles restaurant Spago will be stage an exclusive four day pop-up in Mayfair this month. The award-winning Beverly Hills favourite by chef Wolfgang Puck will takeover CUT at 45 Park Lane – part of The Dorchester Collection – from Thursday, March 30 until Sunday, April 3 for lunch and dinner.

Executive chef of Spago, Tetsu Yahagi and executive chef of 45 Park Lane, Elliott Grover, will collaborate on a menu showcasing its renowned California cuisine. Highlights will include Wolfgang’s childhood favourite chicken bouillon, braised Austrian beef goulash and whole-roasted Chinese duck with steamed bao buns and fruit compote. Guests will also enjoy a host of signature dishes such as smoked salmon pizza, stir-fried black pepper lobster and bincho-grilled tandoori quail.

Wolfgang Puck opened Spago, his first restaurant, more than 40 years ago; while CUT at 45 Park Lane was his first restaurant in Europe when it opened its doors in 2011.

“I am thrilled to bring my first ever restaurant to CUT,” said Puck. “I look forward to being in the kitchen with two very talented chefs and we are so excited to offer a slice of California in London.”
