Verdura Resort in Sicily welcomes Dinings SW3 pop-up

Neighbourhood favourite Dinings SW3 will launch a pop-up restaurant at Verdura Resort in Sicily this month.

Japanese dishes using the best sustainably-sourced Sicilian ingredients will take centre stage on the Rocco Forte hotel’s Liola Terrace from August 10 to September 11 (Wednesdays to Sundays).

The London-based restaurant, in Lennox Gardens Mews – near Cadogan Square – is renowned for its creative Japanese cuisine and the pop-up menu, created by executive chef Masaki Sugisaki, will include delicate sushi and sashimi with freshly-caught fish, alongside dishes such as Mazera red prawn ceviche and steamed mini burger buns filled with lobster and yuzu aioli.

Robata grill dishes combine the local catch of the day with a yuzu and Sicilian lemon emulsion, alongside Italian Waguy with wafu chimichurri. Cocktails include a Dinings SW3 spritz with local cherries and a Negroni infused with herbs from the Verdura garden.

For those looking to learn the art of sushi, a sushi roll masterclass will take place twice a week for guests. Lydia Forte, director of food and beverage at Rocco Forte Hotels, said: “It’s hugely exciting to offer a different dining experience to our regular guests yet one that’s still in keeping with Sicily through the local ingredients. Dinings has a wonderful team with philosophies closely aligned to ours.”
