Following the success of Sparrow Italia in Los Angeles in 2021, Tosh Berman and Mikey Tanha who are the founders of the US lifestyle hospitality group Noble 33 decided to launch the concept in London as their first international launch – in the heart of Mayfair on Avery Row. The menu is designed to transport guests to the southern European coast, with a modern twist on traditional Italian and Mediterranean dishes.
Open from Tuesday through to Saturday for dinner service and with a capacity of 189 across three floors, Sparrow houses a ground-level brasserie, a terrace dining room on the indoor/outdoor first floor, a parlour dining room on the second floor and a top-floor cigar lounge which will be opened in the new year.
The menu includes fresh seafood, homemade pastas and a selection of Mediterranean classics using high-quality, sustainable and organic ingredients.
Highlights include Sparrow classics such as the Grilled Branzino with Sicilian pistachio, fresh herbs and charred lemon, Cacio e Pepe, served tableside from a Tuscan pecorino cheese wheel with parmesan and chitarra pasta, as well as Sparrow’s staple A5 Carpaccio, thinly sliced wagyu served with pickled seasonal mushrooms, umami aioli, and freshly shaved black truffles.
Exclusive dishes created for London will include a Lobster Linguine, made with British Isles lobster with a acqua pazza and lemon-parsley butter, Monkfish Livornaise served with manila clams, fresh tomatoes, wild cabbage, and brodo.
The food will be complemented by adventurous mixology that uses fresh, seasonal ingredients and fine spirits to craft cocktails all rooted in the flavours of Italy and diners can also enjoy nightly entertainment including live DJs and musicians.
