Welbeck has unveiled its male fertility hub, allowing men to have analysis, testing and diagnosis under one roof. When it is needed, surgical treatment is available with no separate referrals, bringing urology, andrology and endocrinology together. This is a landmark moment for fertility testing, with 30 per cent of fertility issues stemming from the male. The hub, based at the Urology & Men’s Health clinic, covers semen analysis, hormone and advanced imaging. Testing and procedures include vasectomy reversal, varicocele repair and sperm retrieval procedures such as PESA and micro-TESE.

Reflexologist Marzena Zawadzka, part of the new wellness residency programme at The Dorchester, has been helping to heal people for more than 20 years. Marzena said she found reflexology during a difficult time in her life, when she felt exhausted and disconnected. Reflexology works on specific points on the feet, and Marzena specialises in advanced nerve and spinal reflexology, pregnancy and postnatal care, and myofascial release. She refers to her practice as a “foot reading”: her hands can tell what is going on across the whole body. From joint pain to eyesight problems, you’ll find she picks things up even before the symptoms have manifested.

The Brain Gym

The Brain Gym

Mandarin Oriental Mayfair x Sofos Associates is a new, exclusive partnership, offering a cognitive performance and brain optimisation practice. Founded by psychologist and neuroscience specialist Natalia Ramsden, the two signature experiences – the Brain Map Experience and the Brain Gym Programme – take place in the hotel penthouse, where an assessment will be made before the sophisticated electrode cap is placed over the head to measure real-time brainwaves. Exercises and games are played via a computer while recording all your brain data. This is then analysed and a report is compiled. Exercises are recommended after the appointment to improve everything from sleep to anxiety, productivity or mental clarity, depending on your needs. The conversation around brain health is becoming wider as people realise training the brain is as important as the body.
