Meet Yolk, a new luxury restaurant delivery app with a difference.
Solving a problem, which occurs across all restaurant delivery services, Yolk uses an industry-first silicone heating technology to ensure food keeps to its optimum temperature. The heating pads, designed in Germany, are installed on the delivery bikes and connected to the bike’s battery and set to exact temperatures for every individual journey – whether that’s hot, up to 60°c, or chilled, down to 15°c .
Not only does the food arrive at the right temperature, you are even able to track the temperature via the app.
Trays are adjusted to suit the dish order, and straps keep the delivery stable. There are even LED light strips around the delivery box to enjoy watching your meal arrive at your door in the evening.
Delivering food from the finest restaurants, from Park Chinois, Aquavit and MNKY HSE has to offer within a five-mile radius was the plan of founder 17-year-old Bernado Braga.
He devised the concept during the pandemic, all while completing his formal education, after being repeatedly disappointed with the quality of the food delivered he received during the Lockdowns of 2020. Bernado hopes to expand Yolk into a worldwide luxury concierge service.
