New works by Georg Baselitz, one of Germany’s most celebrated living artists, are on show at White Cube Mason’s Yard from September 4 until November 14.

Darkness Goldness features the artist’s paintings of mysterious, ghostly hands rendered in gold, alongside Baselitz’s first sculptural works in nearly a decade.

Hands have been a recurrent motif throughout the artist’s career, which has spanned over 60 years. The paintings in this series have been created using a monotype printing process, where the artist transfers images from one canvas to another using a push broom.
